Can't seem to shake it

Woke up this morning after a night of tossing and turning.  Can't seem to shake tension today. Ugg.  Maybe it's the rainy weather.  Not to mention the desire for some parts of my life to be finalized.  Those who know me know what I am talking about.

Looking forward to seeing long lost girlfriend.  Can't believe it's been 30 years since I have spoke with her.  Thank God for the internet and surprise blessings.

My nephew-in-law is home from the hospital after major heart surgery.  Another blessing his progress is amazing.  Power of prayer is at work.

Revelations yesterday in Sunday school brought to light an interesting passage, one I don't recall ever hearing before:
9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

It's verse 10 that struck me.  I feel it certainly puts a whole new light on Hell.  Did you ever realize that if you were in Hell you would be in the presence of holy angels and the Lamb?  It would be like standing on the outside looking through a window to a great party.  That is separation.
In the guide it lists self centeredness, pride, and isolation as part of the process of ending up in Hell.  Not knowing the joy of friendship, serving, and sharing self and the realization that you will never have the opportunity again to do that.  Not to mention no rest.  So sad.

The part about isolation and not sharing yourself with others is much easier to relate to than fire and brimstone. How many of us really can grasp the concept of fire and brimstone raining down on us?  Many can relate to isolation and aloneness, right.  And the concept of no rest.

So hope headache goes away.  Had hoped that releasing some of the thougths in my brain would help.  Not yet.

Keep thinking about Thanksgiving and the holidays today.  2nd year of figuring it all out.  In some ways it will be easier but dread the thought of children being away from me, even though it will only be for a few hours.  Selfish but at the same time okay with the process after all they are both of ours.

Blessings
PS Curious about who is reading my blog.  Stats show it is being read which is part of the idea, but wondering who?   Haley and Karen pretty sure but not a clue about the others.
